Congrats to Will Ferrell – latest recipient of the James Joyce award. Now, honestly, you have to read the article – check out the OUTFIT he wore to accept the award. I’m howling!! And his comments on Joyce (“As I perused my leatherbound volumes of ‘Ulysses,’ ‘Finnegans Wake,’ ‘Dubliners,’ ‘Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man,’ standing in my mahogany library, a lot of feelings ran across my mind. Like: ‘Damn, I should have read these books.’ “) have already made my day and it’s not even 8 a.m. yet.

He kills me
Isn’t it so hilarious??
He’s hysterical.
I have to admit, I had to have a road-to-Damascus on Will Ferrell. I didn’t care for him on SNL, but when I saw Zoolander, I realized why people thought he was funny. It’s because he is funny, and I really enjoy his work now.
Come to think of it, I went through the same process with Johnny Depp. Didn’t like 21 Jump Street, but I saw Cry-Baby and said, “Hey, guy’s got game.”
Perhaps I’m an anti-TVite. ;-)
OMG – I just laughed so loud that everyone in my vicinity at the office is giving me weird looks. “Uh, yeah…very funny, ah, memo that I’m writing here…”
It is only 9:17AM and already my day is made.
Ha! Sheil, I just read your whole post on the front page of this! I clicked on the link so fast I didn’t even get down to your “already made my day quote.”
We said the exact same thing!!!
Bren – no way! I totally thought you were echoing what I had said – I love that!!!
I just re-read these posts and I seem like a defensive copycat…
Laughing really loud and saying, isn’t that WEIRD??? HA HA HA! I totally didn’t copy you!!

Today is the birthday of James Joyce. He was born on February 2, 1882, in Rathgar. Joyce wrote: I will not serve that in which I no longer believe whether it call itself my home, my fatherland or my…
