This is from when I went out to Brooklyn to BAM to see Patrick Stewart in Macbeth. The night was very windy, as I recall – and there were these giant floodlights that made the sides of buildings look eerie, noirish, daunting. Perfect for the Scottish play.
Outstanding! And you know, unless one had a really excellent camera, the picture would never capture that eerie quality. My pretty decent digital would have washed out the detail, or the shot would have been too blurry and dark. The grainy, washed quality of the cel phone shot suits the subject perfectly.
Don’t you wish that digital cameras had a “cel phone” setting that automatically just snapped the picture that way, only at 1 mp instead of 8.3 or whatever?
