Review: She Dies Tomorrow (2020)

I really loved this. I love Amy Seimetz’s work in general (her first film, Sun Don’t Shine, is excellent). Incredible cast: Kate Lyn Sheil, Jane Adams, Chris Messina, Kentucker Audley, Josh Lucas, Michelle Rodriguez … fascinating premise. I reviewed for Ebert.

It is really good! I especially like the acting challenge part of it – there are no special effects – each actor has to stare into this colored strobe light thing – the aftermath? death? obliteration? – and have to react to it – in their own specific way. You never see what they’re seeing – but you know that each actor has figured out for themselves what they are looking at. It’s wild!
