I will be spending at the Film Forum at a press screening, in the presence (ghostly, but still there) of Otto Preminger, Joan Crawford, and Henry Fonda.

Can’t wait. I love the randomness of life sometimes. New experiences, the unknown … it’s great.

    Alex – cannot WAIT to talk with you about it tomorrow. She is so marvelous. And you know who is truly great? Dana Andrews. I’ve always liked him – but he was generally typecast as a dumb mug – and he is here, too – but with shades of something much deeper.

    Let’s talk tomorrow! I have to write up my review in the next couple days.

    … can I finish Master & Commander by tomorrow night, midnight – in order to “get it in” to my Books Read This Year list, which, naturally, I will post in full, cause I’m geeky like that. I’m 110 pages…
