I knew ye well.
It was really important for me – working there … it was the harbinger of a lot of change, good and bad – but mostly good. By saying “yes” to that job, there was a shift – a huge shift – in how I thought about my life, and who I was, and what I was capable of. And because of that – all kinds of OTHER things started happening in my life, writing things, and personal growth – that I truly believe would not have been possible if I hadn’t said “yes” to that job. It was leaping into the unknown, learning how to do things, learning a whole new culture, doing things I’d never done before, and succeeding – I might add – and also making two new awesome friends – Caitlin and Patrick. The three of us even invented our own language.
But now it is time to move on.
30 Rock montage below.
This makes me VERY happy and VERY sad at the same time!
I wish I would have saved those tinkle cats and bindi rats :(
We need to start building up a collection again! I have one tinkle cat, remember!!
I am so glad I captured that goofball man off the television – smiling in surprise as the tub lathers up around him.
i love the one of the skating rink where you can see the flash of your camera across the way! awesome shots.
Bren – I didn’t even notice that flash! Cool!
So you really DID understand what a nerd I was about that place! Wow…
Of course I understood! hahahaha We were just sitting in that PIT OF HELL and the bloom was definitely off the rose at that point.
I’ll miss it.
Hope you are doing well, Josey!
whats happening??? u have to call me!
Mitchell – it’s nothing scary – but yes, we need to talk!! With everything else going on, I just didn’t think to update you. The powers-that-be are moving all of us web nerds from 30 Rock to an undisclosed location – they wanted to get us out of there, and get us all together in one place – so now that is happening. It’s all good! The undisclosed location is actually much better.
But goodbye to chats with Jimmy Fallon at the water cooler and Lorne Michaels in the elevator! Goodbye to seeing Alex almost every freakin’ day!
phew..i thought u were jobless…im relieved.
Yeah, really, that’s all I’d need right now.
Shiela, do you generally answer emails from your blog readers? I sent you a long one and mentioned Brando, Dean, etc… did you receive it?
Oliver – my life is in upheaval now, so no, I have not been corresponding with blog readers. When things are normal, I generally do carry on a correspondence, but I just can’t right now. I’ve had a family tragedy, and scanning photos is all that I can handle. My apologies.
Gee I’m really sorry to hear that. You needn’t apologize, I understand. I hope the pain isn’t too hard to handle and transforms very soon.
Oliver – thank you for understanding. In normal times, I LOVE having in-depth correspondence with people of like minds … stick around, I’ll eventually get back to Brando, Dean et. al. :)
